YCI Laboratory for Next-Generation Proteomics

Welcome to our laboratory!

Proteomics is the study of proteins including their expression levels, cellular localization and function. Our laboratory applies mass spectrometry-based methods in highly multiplexed protein quantification in various biological systems. The mass spectrometry methods of bottom-up proteomics represent a general experimental framework for systematically probing the proteotype at increasing levels of completeness and precision to support the association of proteotypes and phenotypes. We combine next-generation proteomics methods and computational analysis to investigate association among genetic and external perturbation, proteotype and disease phenotypes. We aim to obtain a deep understanding of health and disease on a personalized level.
