Application Deadline: January 9, 2020

We are pleased to announce that the RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences (IMS) will hold an international summer program, the RIKEN-Tsinghua International Summer Program (RISP), in June 2020.

IMS and The Institute for Immunology, Tsinghua University (IITU) have agreed to take turns hosting an annual international summer program as part of our international cooperative efforts. The first international summer program was held at IITU in 2019.

This program aims to provide young scientists with the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge immunology and related areas such as genomic medicine, disease system biology, and bioinformatics.

The agenda will consist of lectures by internationally distinguished scientists in these fields, and oral and poster presentations by each participant. RISP is open to talented graduate students and young postdocs, and lodging expenses during the program will be fully covered.

Around 40 participants will be invited to spend a week (from June 12 to 19, 2020) at the RIKEN facilities in Yokohama, during which time they will also attend the RIKEN IMS-JSI International Symposium on Immunology 2020. The Summer Program Lecture Course was designed to present both basic concepts and state-of-the-art research in order to promote better understanding of immunology and the other research areas listed above.
