Advancing life and medical sciences through high-field structural analysis
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectrometers enable structural analysis of a wide range of substances, including biological samples, polymers, nanomaterials, and natural products, by utilizing a strong magnetic field. The analytical performance of NMR improves with increasing magnetic field strength. We conduct research and development on cutting-edge magnet technologies that integrate high-temperature superconducting wires, coils, and joints, aiming to realize next-generation high-field NMR magnets. Building on these technologies, we aim to develop both the world’s highest-field NMR magnet and ultra-compact NMR systems that operate without liquid helium, thereby contributing to advances in medical science through the analysis of biological samples.
