Dr. Masahiro Nakano, from Laboratory for Autoimmune Diseases, received the EULAR 2022 Abstract Award (Basic Science).

The European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology, EULAR, bestows Abstract Awards to the first authors of abstracts submitted to the EULAR Annual European Congress. Winners are selected by the EULAR Scientific Programme Committee based on the quality of the abstracts' scientific content.

Each year, six winners are selected in each of two fields of medical research from more than 4,000 submitted abstracts.

Dr. Nakano received the award for his presentation in the field of the Basic Science "Cell-type-specific transcriptome architecture underlying the establishment and exacerbation of systemic lupus erythematosus".
