Dr. Sidonia Fagarasan, Team Leader of the Laboratory for Mucosal Immunity at the RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences, received the First Kobayashi Award in 2019.

The Kobayashi Award is awarded to individual scientists who have conducted their own original research in Japan and made outstanding achievements in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, agriculture, engineering, science or life sciences, etc.
