JSPS Prize awarded to Dr. Fumihiko ISHIKAWA, Group Director

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science has announced that Dr. Fumihiko ISHIKAWA (Group Director and Chief Scientist, Center for Integrative Medical Sciences) will be awarded the 10th JSPS Prize. Dr. ISHIKAWA is being recognized for his study, “Development of humanized mouse system enabling in vivo investigation of human leukemia and therapeutic approach”.

The prize is intended to recognize and support young researchers with rich creativity and superlative research ability at an early stage in their careers. The prize is awarded in the fields of the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences, and was established in FY 2004.
The JSPS Prize is generally awarded to around 25 researchers each year.
