The RIKEN (Shun’ichi Kobayashi, President,RIKEN) will open the three research centers “RIKEN Center of Developmental Biology,” “Plant Science Center,” and “SNP Research Center” on April 1, 2000.

Each research center will maintain close coordination and cooperation with related institutions, and will devote itself to research supporting the Millennium Projects signed into law by the Prime Minister on December 19th, 1999.
