Cancellation of RIKEN IMS Summer Program (RISP) 2018

December 11, 2017

The RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences (IMS) was established in Yokohama, Japan, in April 2013 by merging two former RIKEN institutes, the Research Center for Allergy and Immunology (RCAI) and the Center for Genomic Medicine (CGM). Our widely recognized annual international summer program RISP, the RIKEN IMS Summer Program (formerly known as the RCAI International Summer Program), was first held in 2006.

This program aims to provide young scientists with the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge immunology, medical biology and genomic medicine research. The Summer Program Lecture Course was developed to present both basic concepts and state-of-the-art research to promote better understanding of these fields. The agenda typically consists of lectures by internationally distinguished scientists in these fields, and oral and poster presentations by each of the participants.

Due to reorganization within our center, we unfortunately will not be able to hold RISP in 2018. We anticipate restarting the program again in 2019, and more information will be posted on this web site once it becomes available.
