RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences (IMS)
The Japanese Society for Immunology (JSI)
Symposium Invitation
The IMS-JSI International Symposium on Immunology is a series of annual conferences hosted by RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences (IMS) in conjunction with the Japanese Society for Immunology (JSI). The symposium provides a forum for active discussions on the cutting edge of immunological research. The program committee is composed of the representatives of the IMS and the JSI, and organizes the program. The IMS-JSI international symposium is complementary to the JSI International Symposia that are held during its annual meeting. These meetings promote the progress of immunology and encourage young researchers not only in Japan but also in Asia and all over the world. The IMS-JSI International Symposium has received about 400 people in every year since the first meeting was held in 2005. We are convinced to provide the participants, especially the young and promising scientists, with opportunities to learn about the most advanced topics in immunology and exchange their results.
At this symposium, entitled “Checkpoint in medical science and its technology”, we will shed light on four topics: (1) Fundamental aspects of immunology: Antigenicity (2) Functional genomic of lymphocytes: Next-generation technologies (3) Systems biology: Biochemistry, Immunology and environmental interactions (4) Cancer immunology / Immunotherapy. Eighteen invited researchers will introduce their cutting edge research. We believe that in this rapidly advancing era of science, direct interaction between people is one of the most effective ways to spread knowledge and inspire researchers to explore new directions. We hope that during the symposium, people will consider both newly solved and yet unsolved problems and that the symposium will function to connect the researchers and contribute to future studies of immunological science. We welcome your registration and attendance.
