Dr. Sho Hamaguchi, Junior Research Associate of the Laboratory for Symbiotic Microbiome Sciences, received the CKD Frontier Award: The Chronic Kidney Disease Frontier Award.

The CKD Frontier Award is given to the most outstanding presentation (4-8 presentations) from among the presentations at the meeting.

Dr. Hamaguchi received the award for the presentation entitled "Deep shotgun metagenomic analysis of the oral microbiome: Identifying extrachromosomal mobile genetic elements specific to IgA nephropathy patients".
